Madrid, October 4th, 2018 - Lingokids has received the award for 'startup with the greatest social impact in education' during the 2018 edition of enlightED, which recognizes the best startups in the ed-tech space. The awards were given out as part of South Summit, the annual tech conference celebrated in Madrid from 3-5 October, and that serves as a global reference in regards to talent and innovation.

enlightED is a global conference organized by Telefónica Foundation, IE University, and South Summit. The event brings together international experts on education, technology, and innovation in order to discuss issues relating to education in the digital era. In addition, enlightED gives out awards to recognize the efforts of ed-tech startups worldwide. More than 600 startups from across every continent showed up to the event.
The panel, comprised of 24 national and international experts, assessed the role of Lingokids as a tool that facilitates access to high-quality language learning. Through the Lingokids platform, children between 2 and 8 can benefit from an innovative methodology that teaches English through exposure to videos, games, and songs that are personalized to each user's age, level and preferences.
On the other hand, as part of the startup’s commitment to being a socially responsible company, Lingokids partners with companies, NGOs and other institutions in order to promote learning in young children in the most disadvantaged areas and situations. The company currently maintains active projects with Education First (EF), Shakira's Barefoot Foundation in Colombia, and the Queen Rania Foundation in Jordan.
